🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump may be making the biggest strategic miscalculation of this war.
Geopolitical analyst Brandon Wechett believes the White House thinks an overwhelming show of force will force Iran back to the negotiating table.
He believes the opposite is true.
According to reports mentioned in the interview, Washington is considering a large-scale military operation targeting not only military facilities but also potentially Iran's energy infrastructure.
Brandon believes the logic is simple:
Deliver a sufficiently heavy blow to Iran to demonstrate overwhelming American power, then negotiate from a position of strength.
But he believes Tehran doesn't see it that way.
His argument is that Washington views Iran as a traditional state that primarily responds to military pressure.
He says Iran defines its legitimacy through resistance. The heavier the blow to Iran, the harder it will be for Tehran to compromise politically.
This is why Brandon believes a large-scale U.S. military operation is not the final stage, but merely the beginning of the next.
The US may be able to destroy everything it can find, but it can never be certain it has found everything.
Meanwhile, Iran only needs to maintain sufficient strength to continue inflicting damage on the US.
Brandon believes that, in the long run, this asymmetric situation is more advantageous to Tehran.
If Iran refuses to compromise, what initially appears to be an escalating conflict could very well escalate into a protracted war that neither side can end.

I, the "God of War" with 10U, have reopened my long position in SPCXUSD1 today.
At 20x leverage, I'm currently slightly profitable, having made a few dollars.
However, this time I'm not just looking at a single SpaceX long position.
I traded a Nasdaq stock price exposure, and the settlement code is now solana:USD1ttGY1N17NEEHLmELoaybftRBUSErhqYiQzvEmuB
////////////////////////////
SPCXUSD1 is Binance's first stock perpetual trade settled in USD1.
The underlying asset is SpaceX, supporting up to 25x leverage, and it's available 24/7.
Previously, USD1 was used in trading crypto assets like BTC and ETH; now it's expanding into equity assets.
From Crypto to TradFi, it may seem like just adding another trading pair, but behind it lies a significant expansion of the usage boundaries of $USD1.
///////////////////////////
Currently, USD1 has a market capitalization of approximately $4 billion, placing it among the top mainstream stablecoins.
Market capitalization is certainly important for stablecoins.
But what I'm more concerned about is how many real transaction chains it's actually being integrated into.
Spot trading, collateral, crypto perpetual bonds, and even stock perpetual bonds like SPCX.
Each additional asset class adds another layer of trading and settlement demands surrounding USD1.
///////////////////////////
So, I'm certainly concerned about how much profit this deal can generate.
But I also want to continue observing whether Binance will integrate more stocks, ETFs, or even other TradFi assets into the USD1 settlement system in the future.
Stablecoins truly became infrastructure, and this is roughly how they gradually expanded.
High-leverage contracts are risky; I only participate with small positions. Be careful to control leverage. (DYOR)

The crypto world has become like a fandom; nobody talks about making money anymore.
Every day it's either cursing exchanges for unfair 10u rewards, digging up dirt on who's a mistress, or some small exchange exposing the boss's ID card 🤣.
Even the entertainment industry isn't this dramatic.

Is the Middle East situation about to escalate?
The U.S. State Department issued a broad security warning to American citizens in the Middle East, advising them to consider leaving the region or prepare for a swift evacuation should the situation escalate.
Washington is considering a new military strike against Iran as early as this weekend.
Iran has also stated it will further strike countries that allow U.S. military bases.
Israeli officials stated that current tensions have reached a breaking point and are on the verge of exploding.
U.S. President Trump: We are closer than ever to launching a major strike against Iran.
Iran's Foreign Ministry: We are determined to continue on the path of resistance and defense.
Forget the talk, the sky suddenly darkens and it looks like it's going to rain; it's time to bring in the blankets.

Wu learned that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has accepted a review application from CME Group (a major U.S. derivatives exchange operator) to re-examine its previous decision to approve Nasdaq PHLX for listing cash-settled Bitcoin index options (QBTC). The SEC approved the rule change through an authorization process on May 22, but the approval was automatically suspended after CME raised objections in June; QBTC cannot be launched until all SEC commissioners complete their review. CME argues that Bitcoin is a commodity, and options directly linked to its price should be regulated by the CFTC, not the SEC. If this view is upheld, Nasdaq may need to reapply under the CFTC framework or adjust its product structure.

According to statistics compiled by Daniel Wallach, a U.S. gaming and sports lawyer, as of August 1, U.S. courts had issued 29 preliminary injunctions or temporary restraining orders in prediction market cases involving various states. States won 23 of these rulings, a success rate of approximately 79.3%, while prediction market stakeholders won 6. The main disputes concern whether event contracts should be uniformly regulated by the CFTC or whether states can restrict them as gambling activities.

🚨🇸🇦 🇺🇸 Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) called Trump directly, warning him against a large-scale airstrike against Iran this weekend, as the region struggles to prevent such attacks…
- Two U.S. officials and a third source told Axios that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke with Trump on Saturday to express concerns about the plan. One official said, “The Saudi side expressed concerns and requested clarification of the action plan.”
- Another source said that days after the joint U.S.-Saudi airstrikes against Iraqi militias, MBS went further, urging Trump to de-escalate and halt the operation entirely.
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been emphasizing this point throughout the week, with Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman expressing the same sentiment to Vance before meeting with Trump.
- Qatar, the UAE, Turkey, and Pakistan are all urging their respective capitals to withdraw the operation, while Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi told the Saudi Foreign Minister that any hostile actions, or “regional involvement or cooperation,” would be condemned. "Countries" Will Prompt a Decisive Response
- Qatari mediators held separate talks on Saturday with Araghchi, special envoy Steve Witkov, and Omani officials regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Sources said progress was made.
Riyadh, which flew combat missions with US warplanes four days ago, has now warned the US president against another war.
Saudi Arabia will defend its oil fields and does not want retaliatory actions from war to affect its refineries.
Iran has explicitly threatened countries that support or assist the US; therefore, every country asked to provide support for the strikes has been informed of the consequences.

Senator Banks of Japan is highlighting the overseas influence of Neville Singham, a Shanghai-based billionaire who has poured significant funds into a network of activist groups.
One of the newer groups is "No Cold War." The group's sole aim is to oppose any substantive U.S. retaliatory measures against the Chinese Communist Party, whether economic, military, or political.
The funding sources are clearly traceable, and the objectives are well-defined.
The only remaining point of contention is the extent of the influence this funding has generated and, ultimately, which groups benefit from it.
