Bitcoin price remains at $60,000; theft from cold storage wallets poses downward risks

According to CoinMeta, after a sharp intraday decline, the price of Bitcoin still remains above $60,000, with the latest trading price at around $62,600. Recent cold wallet theft incidents have raised security concerns, with reports indicating that in this attack, 594 BTC were stolen from 500 wallets within about 25 minutes, worth approximately $38 million. Researchers link the losses to a flaw in the cold wallet firmware, which undermines randomness during the process of generating mnemonic phrases. Although this incident did not lead to a widespread sell-off in the market, it put additional pressure on Bitcoin prices. Current Bitcoin price data shows that the asset is fluctuating between $62,400 and $65,300 during trading.
