PayPal Stablecoin Strategy Expansion, Q2 Total Payments Reach $486.4 Billion

According to CoinMeta, PayPal announced its second-quarter financial report on July 28th. The report showed that within the three months ending June 30th, the total payment volume reached $486.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10%. The company has incorporated stablecoins into its official innovation plan and confirmed three main business segments, including payment services and crypto business. Although the crypto business occupies a clearer position within the organizational structure, it is not an independent digital asset business. PayPal's net revenue grew by 5% to $8.68 billion, and the adjusted free cash flow reached $1.83 billion. The company also raised its full-year non-GAAP earnings per share forecast to approximately $5.38. PayPal plans to achieve at least $1.5 billion in annual cost savings over the next two to three years.
