According to CoinMeta, the Anchorpoint financial company supported by the standard Chartered has postponed the public launch of its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin HKDAP to August, as the project failed to be launched as expected by the second quarter and the end of July. According to the Hong Kong Economic Daily, the CEO of Standard Chartered for Hong Kong and Greater China, Mary Huen, stated that an announcement related to HKDAP is expected to be released in August, and added that work on the stablecoin has continued since obtaining the issuer license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in April. Anchorpoint is one of the first two companies to obtain a Hong Kong stablecoin issuer license. Although the launch time was longer than initially anticipated, Huen indicated that development work has continued since regulatory approval. This stablecoin is intended to provide another settlement option for cross-border operating enterprises.
