According to CoinMeta, Saudi Arabia's Rabigh support project has accelerated the delivery of 1179 megawatts of electricity in the face of potential supply limitations. The project was developed by Saudi Electric Power Company ( SEC ) and is jointly delivered by Siemens Energy and Elsewedy Electric Power Systems Projects. The first gas turbine was ignited in July 2025, and four days later it was synchronized with the power grid. It is expected to complete its full cycle of operation in May 2027. The rapid execution of this project provides an important guarantee for Saudi Arabia's power security and reflects the country's strategic decision-making in addressing peak electricity demand during the summer.
