Bitdeer and Volta sign a 16-year data center hosting agreement

According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Bitdeer announced that its subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS has signed a 16-year data center hosting and services agreement with Volta Tydal AS. This agreement will provide 121 MW IT of load capacity (approximately 133 MW of total power) in the Tydal AI / HPC campus in Norway, all of which will be used for deploying NVIDIA GPU and serving a leading AI laboratory. The total expected contract payments over the initial term of the agreement are about $4.7 billion, with an 8-year renewal option included, and the potential total value of the renewed contract is approximately $8 billion. Bitdeer estimates that the remaining capital expenditure for the project is about $500 million, which is planned to be financed through additional debt. Boosted by this agreement, the stock price of Bitdeer soared by 23%.
