Andrei Grachev: The DEXE transaction was due to margin rate turning negative, resulting in liquidation and hedging, as well as an increase in cash reserves

According to CoinMeta, co-founder DWF Labs in conjunction with Andrei Grachev responded to speculation in the DEXE trading market, stating that relevant transactions can be verified through records on centralized exchanges. DWF Labs purchased DEXE in 2024 and sold it for a profit in 2025. Around October 10th, they bought DEXE and hedged their profits in the first half of 2026. When the funding rate turned negative, DWF Labs closed their short positions and increased their cash reserves by selling some DEXE futures. Grachev stated that all buying and selling operations were completed through centralized exchanges and criticized some paid KOL for spreading misleading information.
