According to CoinMeta, Prologis has announced plans to advance a $18.8 billion acquisition of London-based logistics and warehousing operator Segro. The “best final” bid proposed by Prologis last month was approved after being rejected multiple times by the board of directors of Segro. This transaction is expected to generate approximately $2.1 billion in revenue for Prologis and expand its European portfolio by 47% to 368 million square feet. Shareholders of Segro will receive 0.092 new shares of Prologis for each share they hold, with the option to choose up to 25% in cash as well. The deal is anticipated to be completed in the first half of 2027, at which time Prologis will also seek a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange.
