According to CoinMeta, BNY announced a strategic partnership with Galaxy to integrate the staking infrastructure of Galaxy into its digital asset custody platform for eligible institutional clients. The aim of this collaboration is to simplify the process for institutions to participate in proof-of-stake networks, allowing client assets to remain within the custody framework of BNY while also accessing the staking capabilities of Galaxy. BNY reported that as of June 30th, the total value of assets it custodied or managed reached 62.6 trillion US dollars. This partnership will provide institutions with a more familiar staking option, and the future will depend on the results of regulatory reviews.
