According to CoinMeta, based on early data of in, CryptoRank analyzed 1,539 tokens that once were in the top 100 by market capitalization and found that 71.9% of them have been classified as “operatively dead.” The study defines “dead” as tokens that have been removed from major trading platforms and have had a daily trading volume of less than $10,000 for more than 90 consecutive days. Approximately 62% of the top 100 tokens are expected to lose their activity within 5 years, and the mortality rate is projected to reach 84.7% after 10 years. The median lifespan of these tokens is only 2 years and 4 months.
