According to CoinMeta, Google will invest approximately $200 billion this year in AI data centers and equipment. Jasjeet Sekhon, the company's Chief Strategy Officer, frankly stated that the current AI revenue is not yet sufficient to cover these expenses, and there may be a period in the industry where "money is spent first, but revenue does not follow." He pointed out that the long-term reason for Google's substantial investment is RSI, which is to involve AI in the development of the next generation of AI and to continuously improve training methods and the models themselves. Sekhon predicts that real RSI may be achieved in the next two years.
