According to CoinMeta, Coinbase released its verification node operation report for the second quarter of 2026, stating that its Solana verification nodes outperformed the network average in terms of yield, stability, and infrastructure distribution. The data shows that Coinbase currently has approximately 41.63 million SOL staked through 23 verification nodes, accounting for 9.72% of the total staked amount across the Solana network. The staking yield is 6.52%, which is higher than the network average of 6.38%. The block skipping rate is 0.035%, lower than the network average of 0.136%. Coinbase mentioned that its verification nodes use a multi-client architecture, all solutions have been reviewed by Solana Foundation, and each node is equipped with off-site backups to reduce the risk of single points of failure. Coinbase also revealed that preparations are being made for the Alpenglow consensus upgrade expected to be implemented later in 2026 for Solana.
