According to CoinMeta, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Karambaradi denied in an interview with Iranian official media that Iran is currently in negotiations with the United States regarding the Strait of Hormuz issue. He stated that the claim by the United States that negotiations are taking place with Iran is incorrect, and that there are no negotiations at present. Karambaradi mentioned that Tehran has received messages from the United States regarding the resumption of previously made commitments, but Iran has not yet decided whether to proceed to the second phase that could lead to the implementation of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. Trump, on the other hand, said that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened “soon,” otherwise a new round of attacks on Iran will be launched, and claimed that “very good discussions” are underway with Tehran.
