Hopes arise for the Clear Cryptography Act as congressional parties accelerate negotiations

According to CoinMeta, both parties in Congress are engaged in urgent negotiations over the much-anticipated Crypto Clearing Act. Earlier today, staff members from the Democratic and Republican parties held a series of last-minute meetings to resolve the remaining differences before Congress takes its August recess. Despite the challenging circumstances, legislators still hold hope of reaching a compromise. As reported by Punchbowl News, congressional staff from both parties have been working hard over the past 24 hours to address the remaining issues in the bill. Senate Majority Leader John Thune decided not to propose a motion to end debate on the Crypto Clearing Act on Wednesday afternoon, providing negotiators with additional time to continue discussions and possibly bridge the gaps that have hindered legislative progress. Senator Cynthia Lummis ( R-WY ) expressed her confidence that the Senate will vote on the Crypto Clearing Act before its August recess. After nearly a year of bipartisan negotiations, Lummis believes there is no reason to delay any further. She expects the bill to finally be put to a vote after months of tough negotiations.
