According to CoinMeta, as reported by Cointelegraph, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren wrote to Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, questioning the government's relaxation of export policies for AI chips to the UAE, as UAE entities have previously invested $500 million in Trump family's crypto company World Liberty Financial. Warren pointed out in her letter that the U.S. Department of Commerce has classified the UAE as a country group A:5, granting it more exemptions from licensing for the export of advanced chips, and promised to actively review chip license applications involving MGX. This has raised concerns that the president's crypto business interests may impact national security.
