According to CoinMeta, as reported by the Procuratorial Daily, an employee from Shenzhen, burdened with online loans exceeding 400,000 yuan, stole confidential research and development materials from 43 company folders. He also impersonated overseas hackers and demanded 0.88 BTC, 0.8 BTC, and 90,000 USDT in succession. The prosecution determined the amount involved to be approximately 630,000 yuan based on the lowest exchange rate on the day of the incident. Since the company failed to make the payment, the court sentenced him to three years and three months in prison for attempted extortion, along with a fine of 10,000 yuan.
