People's Daily calls for less use of Token; public communication should switch to using "morphemes"

According to CoinMeta, an article published by People's Daily calls for the preferential use of Chinese terms such as "syntagma" and "agent" in domestic media, textbooks, and policy communications, with less direct use of token, agent, and llm. The article argues that the widespread use of English abbreviations in public discourse raises the barrier for ordinary people to understand these concepts and also weakens China's ability to name and explain core technological ideas. In March this year, the National Committee for the Standardization of Scientific and Technological Terms officially released "syntagma" as the Chinese name for token for trial use. A "syntagma" is the basic unit of information processing in large models; it can be a single character, part of a word, punctuation, or other symbols, and does not equate to a complete word.
