According to CoinMeta, a Bitcoin wallet that has been dormant since 2011 transferred nearly 50 Bitcoins on Thursday, worth about $3.2 million. The wallet received these Bitcoins on July 16, 2011, when the trading price of Bitcoin was around $10 per coin. This transaction was included in block 961331 on August 6, 2026, and combined four inputs from this dormant address, totaling 49.97 Bitcoins, as well as two smaller inputs from other addresses. The destination of this transfer was an address with the identifier SegWit, which has been active in recent years and has previously sent Bitcoins to an address labeled as FalconX. Although the Bitcoins from this wallet have been transferred, there is no evidence that they have been sent to FalconX or any other exchanges.
