Former OpenAI researcher starts a business: reinventing Codex to sell it to all white-collar workers

According to CoinMeta, former researcher Gabriel Petersson started a business three months after leaving his job and launched an office assistant named Energy. This product essentially brings the workflows of Codex and Cowork into the white-collar office setting. Users simply need to state their requirements, and the assistant will automatically open a browser, search through emails, find files, and return the results. Compared to Cowork and ChatGPT Work, Energy adds the functionality to freely switch between models and integrates memory, skills, and automation into a one-click assistant. Petersson acknowledges that the directions taken by Cowork and ChatGPT are correct. OpenAI began applying Codex to white-collar work as early as June, covering reports, tables, PPT, research, and workflow automation. The first version of Energy did not introduce any new, more powerful features; in fact, it was more of an advertisement for the OpenAI product.
