According to CoinMeta, Wu said that it has been highly confirmed that the security incident involving Coldcard resulted in the theft of 1,719 BTC, valued at approximately $111 million, with an estimated actual loss potentially exceeding $130 million. The research team has tracked over 25 different attack patterns and believes that multiple attackers may have exploited this vulnerability simultaneously. So far, more than 250 victims have reported cases that, if all verified, could lead to a total theft of over 2,300 BTC. Galaxy Research stated that there is no evidence indicating that this vulnerability affects Coldcard MK3, MK4, MK5, or any other signing devices or wallets besides Q.
