According to CoinMeta, Sharplink CEO Joseph Chalom has publicly opposed Ethereum's EIP-8363, warning that the proposal could destroy the $35 billion DeFi staking market that relies on staking rewards. Chalom stated that the proposal would reduce validator rewards to zero after half of Ethereum has been staked, forcing stakers to rely solely on transaction fees.
