Beware Bitcoin holders: Selling BIP-110 fork coins may result in a loss of real BTC

According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin holders may face real losses of BTC when selling coins originating from the BIP-110 fork this weekend. It is expected that Bitcoin will split into two chains in the coming days, and users holding Bitcoin will have the same balance on both chains simultaneously. If someone buys the new coins at an exceptionally favorable price, selling may seem like an easy way to make a profit, but this could result in buyers also acquiring the seller's Bitcoin, leading to a replay attack. Bitcoin developer Kevin Loaec warns that if one does not know how to separate the two balances, the safest approach is to leave the coins as they are.
