According to CoinMeta, three men from St. Louis have been charged by federal prosecutors for plotting an attack on a residence in Connecticut with the intent to force the transfer of Bitcoin related to a theft worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Each individual faces up to 20 years in prison. The grand jury returned a second indictment in New Haven, said David X. Sullivan, the U.S. prosecutor in charge of the case.
