According to CoinMeta, on August 8th at 19:47 (UTC +8), the liquidity pool of Bifrost was attacked by hackers who exploited a vulnerability, stealing approximately 881,150 DOT, worth about $720,000. The stolen assets were deposited into HitBTC and flowed into Binance. Bifrost has submitted a freeze request to the exchange and is cooperating with law enforcement authorities to recover the assets. Meanwhile, Bifrost has stopped the liquidity mining rewards and initiated a security review, while VDOT continues to provide full support at a 1:1 ratio.
