2026-08-10 00:48:39
According to CoinMeta, Vanguard has announced the launch of the S&P 500 ETF ( VOO ). This fund holds the same investment portfolio as its Admiral Shares ( VFIAX ), but it eliminates the minimum investment requirement of $3,000 and the $75 transaction fee charged by Fidelity. The fees for VOO are lower than those of VFIAX, at 0.03% and 0.04% respectively. In addition, Vanguard allows for a one-way tax-free conversion from VFIAX to VOO within taxable accounts. Analysts point out that VOO is a more cost-effective option, especially for investors who do not hold their assets in Vanguard accounts.
