According to CoinMeta, as reported by Yahoo Finance, Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin selling strategy is coming to an end. He sold Bitcoins at around $64,000 each to fund preferred stock dividends, incurring a 15% loss. The price of these preferred stocks has rebounded by 35% from their June lows to $95, and Saylor hopes to buy back Bitcoins once they reach $100. He has rebranded the strategy from “Bitcoin Treasury” to “Digital Credit Framework,” with a focus on repaying debt obligations first. Last week, the strategy sold 1,638 Bitcoins, raising $104.7 million to strengthen its dollar reserves. The par value of the preferred stocks was close to $70 at the end of June and has now risen to $95.18, getting closer to the $100 target. Investors should pay attention to the climb of the preferred stocks towards $100, rather than just the weekly transactions, to determine whether the selling has indeed ended.
