According to CoinMeta, South Korean National Power Party member Chung Seong-guk plans to propose a bill to postpone the taxation of virtual asset income from January 1, 2027, to January 1, 2030. The current regulations require that starting from January 1 next year, any annual profit from the transfer or lending of virtual assets exceeding 2.5 million Korean won must be subject to a 22% income tax.
