According to CoinMeta, as reported by an early issuer of in, the X account of PEPE creator Matt Furie was active at the beginning of August. Within a week, this account associated itself with three meme token contracts: hoodrat, dork, and boyz, and subsequently deleted related tweets. On August 9th, the Matt Furie account posted that its account had been stolen and that it did not endorse any shitcoin tokens, attaching a screenshot of the official website as evidence. However, on-chain analysts, by monitoring web page archives, questioned the credibility of this statement.
