According to CoinMeta, the Korea Development Institute ( KDI ) stated in its monthly economic assessment report that the South Korean economy is showing signs of broader improvement driven by the semiconductor-related industries. KDI added that exports and equipment investment have continued to grow strongly driven by the semiconductor industry, while consumer spending on durable goods has also accelerated the overall consumption growth rate. The institution noted that, as Asia's fourth-largest economy, the South Korean economy still faces uncertainties such as US tariff policies and geopolitical instability in the Middle East region. In addition, KDI emphasized that South Korea is currently still experiencing high inflation levels, and the deteriorating employment situation is posing challenges to the economy.
