According to CoinMeta, a counterfeit Wasabi wallet application has been listed on the Apple App Store and is associated with a theft incident that resulted in a loss of approximately 6 BTC for one user. The malicious application was disguised as a Wasabi wallet, and monitoring reports indicate that victims lost around 6 BTC after encountering this fraudulent software. To date, 27 cloned cryptocurrency wallet applications have been identified in the Apple Store. Monitoring reports warn users to carefully verify any software released under the name of a Wasabi wallet before downloading it.
