Firmus Raises $2 Billion to Accelerate the Progress of the Southern Gate Project

According to CoinMeta, Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure startup Firmus Technologies has announced the completion of a $2 billion strategic equity financing round. The funds will be used to advance the implementation of its Nanmen AI factory in Australia. This financing includes follow-on investments from Coatue and NVIDIA, as well as new investments from funds under Blackstone Group. Firmus stated that these funds will support the next phase of the Nanmen project and prepare for expansion into the Asia-Pacific market. The company has already been manufacturing its proprietary Hypercube platform in Australia and possesses grid-aware software. Firmus is also developing AI infrastructure based on the reference architecture of the NVIDIA DSX AI factory to accelerate deployment, improve token efficiency per watt, and enhance resilience on a large scale. This transaction brings the company's total new equity financing over the past year to over $3 billion, with a valuation exceeding $10.5 billion.
