Ukraine has intensified its strikes against Russia's petroleum processing industry this month, following a lull in the second half of July during which refineries were able to carry out repairs and increase the country's fuel supply to alleviate widespread shortages. However, just last week, Kiev launched attacks on five Russian refineries, putting new pressure on the domestic supply of gasoline and diesel.
