Bithumb Announces Restrictions on Crypto Transactions with Three Sanctioned Institutions

According to CoinMeta, South Korea's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb announced that due to Shelbit, Aban Tether, and Crypto Home DMCC being suspected of supporting sanctioned entities such as the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard and engaging in money laundering, they were listed on the sanctions list by the US Treasury Department OFAC. As a result, Bithumb immediately restricted all cryptocurrency asset deposits and withdrawals with the aforementioned three institutions starting from August 10th.
