According to CoinMeta, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made six new appointments to the Iranian armed forces on the 10th local time. These include appointing Major General Ali Abdullahi as the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, promoting Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi to the rank of major general and appointing him as the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). In addition, Brigadier General Kayoumars Heidari was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Mustafa Ezzadi as the Deputy Commander of the IRGC, Brigadier General Ali Azmaei as the Commander of the IRGC Navy, and Hussein Taib as the head of the Basij militia organization.
