According to CoinMeta, an alliance composed of over 40 organizations is calling on leading AI laboratories to provide trusted access to their most advanced AI models to qualified open-source security defenders. The open letter states that Bitcoin and digital asset developers are facing increasingly complex AI-driven network threats, while legitimate security research is often limited by the security protection mechanisms of these cutting-edge models. Signatories include Block, Coinbase, Strategy, Mara, Galaxy, BitGo, Brink, OpenSats, Chaincode Labs, Spiral, Trezor, Unchained, and others. They request early access to these advanced network security models, sufficient computing power, a secure research environment, as well as direct communication channels with the security teams at the AI laboratories. The open letter reads: "Defenders need cutting-edge technology; please give them a fair first-mover advantage."
