According to CoinMeta, a user posted on Reddit that they created a Daedalus wallet between 2019 and 2020 but lost the mnemonic phrase and spending password over the years. Nevertheless, they saved and backed up the entire Daedalus application directory at that time, including secret.key files and database files. Now, they hope that the community or developers can provide any tools, recovery scripts, or methods to decrypt or extract the private keys from the Byron era secret.key files, or whether it is possible to brute-force crack the spending password through the encrypted files. They asked if anyone has successfully recovered funds from a similar legacy file structure, or if there are any known open-source tools available for use.
