According to CoinMeta, Kioxia stated in a statement on Tuesday that as of August 3, its former parent company, Toshiba, had reduced its stake in Kioxia from 14.48% to approximately 14.12%. BCPE Pangea Cayman2, established by Bain Capital, became Kioxia's largest shareholder with a 14.19% stake. Kioxia's annual report indicates that SK Samsung Electronics holds bonds that can be converted into nearly all of the voting rights of BCPE Pangea Cayman2 and listed this as a risk factor, stating that it could potentially lead to conflicts of interest. SK Samsung Electronics participated in the 2018 acquisition of Kioxia led by Bain Capital and committed not to exceed a 15% stake in Kioxia's voting rights by 2028.
