The S&P 500 begins to rebound and diversify

According to CoinMeta, since the beginning of 2023, the U.S. stock market has risen by 95% in total. However, analysts are cautious about the narrowness of the market. During the same period, weighty indices such as the S&P 500 have risen by about 50%, while companies known as the "Big Seven" (including Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Tesla) have seen returns of up to 150%. The market capitalization of these stocks has increased from less than 20% to 35%. Since early June, this extreme concentration has begun to ease, and the collective share of the Big Seven has dropped to about 32%. Semiconductor stocks were among the first to benefit, with companies such as AMD, Micron, and Intel attracting active buying from institutional investors. Healthcare and financial stocks have also shown signs of recovery, indicating that the market may be undergoing an important rotation. The CME group launched single-stock futures at the end of July, providing investors with a new tool for risk management.
