According to CoinMeta, the South Korean National Security Council has passed an amendment to the Enforcement Order of the "Specific Financial Information Act," which expands the application of regulations on crypto assets travel and rule from currently only applicable to transfers over 1 million Korean won to all transfers, in order to prevent transactions from being split to evade regulation. The new rules also tighten the entry requirements for VASP, expand the scope of scrutiny for major shareholders, and introduce new financial requirements such as a debt-to-asset ratio not exceeding 200%. Transfers between overseas exchanges and individual wallets will be managed differently based on risk levels, with high-risk transactions potentially being prohibited. The relevant regulations will come into effect six months after their announcement.
