According to CoinMeta, Trump stated that Americans' 401(k) retirement accounts are experiencing historic growth, and he believes that future performance could be even better. In a recent interview with Fox News, Trump pointed out that record-high stock market prices, rising employment, and a wave of new factory investments prove that the U.S. economy is making a full recovery. He mentioned, "We have reached record-high levels in the stock market." According to Fidelity data, from the first quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of 2026, the average 401(k) balance increased by 11%, reaching $141,000. Although this is a good growth, it does not match what Trump described as "doubling or tripling." Vanguard also reported a similar trend, stating that the strong market performance in 2025 directly led to a significant increase in retirement accounts. Trump believes that the country has just begun to feel the benefits of his economic agenda.
