According to CoinMeta, Asian stock markets showed divergence on Wednesday. South Korea's Kospi stocks rose due to a rebound in chip demand, while Japan's Nikkei index remained cautious before the release of U.S. inflation data. The Nikkei index closed up about 0.05%, hovering around 67,010 points, with an overall stable trend. Meanwhile, Kospi stocks rose by about 220 points, or approximately 3.5%, reaching their highest level of the week, driven by semiconductor stocks. Foreign investors made net purchases of South Korean stocks worth about 900 billion Korean won (about $635 million), despite the depreciation of the Korean won against the U.S. dollar. The market's reaction to the upcoming release of U.S. CPI data will be an important factor in future trends.
