According to CoinMeta, the XRP bridge mistakenly identified fake deposits as real deposits due to a software error, allowing attackers to create uncollateralized XRP on another blockchain and exchange it for real XRP in reserves, resulting in a loss of approximately $200,000. The bridge has now been suspended from operation, and the operators have filed a complaint with FBI.
