Australian Securities and Investments Commission shuts down digital asset platform Yepbit, exposes its fabrication of excuses for fund freezes

According to CoinMeta, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ACMA) has shut down multiple websites of the digital asset platform Yepbit and warned users not to trade with that platform. ASIC claimed that Yepbit fabricated claims of fund freezes in order to delay investors' requests for refunds. Yepbit does not hold an Australian financial services license and has not registered as a virtual asset service provider in Austrac.
