DoorDash Self-built Cloud Agent Platform Flux: Completes 130,000 engineering tasks automatically in one month
2026-08-12 15:23:32
According to CoinMeta, DoorDash has launched a cloud-based Agent platform. With this platform, engineers can delegate tasks such as code review, CI troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to the backend Agent. Within a month, Flux has automatically executed 130,000 engineering tasks, completing over 25,000 code reviews per week. DoorDash utilizes Firecracker and microVM to create isolated environments for each task, ensuring that the necessary code repositories, development tools, and permissions are temporarily loaded. To prevent Agent from running rampant within the company, Flux has built its own MCP gateway, ensuring that each task can only use pre-declared tools and permissions, while also maintaining audit records. CEO Tony Xu indicates that nearly two-thirds of the company's code has been written by AI. Flux is automating this process across the entire engineering workflow, allowing Agent to take on more tasks.
