According to CoinMeta, the price of Bitcoin approached $64,000 during trading in July, but failed to regain the $65,000 level despite signs of a bottoming out for Bitcoin. Although U.S. inflation data in July was in line with market expectations, with the annual growth rate dropping to 3.4%, Bitcoin's price still could not hold above $64,000. Before the release of CPI, Bitcoin briefly broke through $64,400, but the price fell back to $63,800 after reports suggesting a possible extension of the U.S.-Iranian conflict. The report indicated that U.S. consumer prices rose by 3.4% year-on-year in July, down from 3.5% in June. The core inflation rate (excluding food and energy prices) was 2.5%. After the inflation report was released, Bitcoin avoided more significant fluctuations and managed to remain around $64,000 despite initial selling pressure. Expectations for a interest rate hike in September have dropped to around 34%.
