According to CoinMeta, as reported by The Block, the Investment Management Department of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a no-objection letter to Franklin Templeton, permitting its traditional registered funds to invest in the company's blockchain-based U.S. government money market fund BENJI for cash management, without having to meet certain physical custody requirements. Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart stated that this opens the door for Franklin's traditional funds to hold its blockchain-based funds. This decision allows traditional Franklin funds to benefit from the operational advantages of BENJI, including faster transaction processing and more frequent pricing updates.
