According to CoinMeta, Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company, stated in an interview with Reuters on Wednesday that Ford plans to transfer the production of some Lincoln models from China to the United States starting in 2030, with the aim of strengthening the company's domestic manufacturing base. This move is due to the 52.5% tariff policy, which has prompted automakers such as Ford and General Motors to make substantial decisions to return production to their home countries. Farley pointed out that tariffs were the main factor in this decision, and it was also influenced by regulatory rules related to Chinese technology. In 2022, Ford sold approximately 34,000 Lincoln Nautilus ( Nautilus ) units domestically, and this model currently faces tariffs as high as 52.5%. Farley said that Ford made this decision quickly as the policies became clearer.
