Uniswap Founder: Abandoning creator fees and redirecting them towards the buyback and destruction of contracts
2026-08-13 10:27:11
According to CoinMeta, Hayden Adams, the founder of Uniswap, stated that the tokens created during the Pools Trade testing phase were not intended to be discovered by external parties. The team has now decided to waive all creator fees incurred by Uniswap employees during testing and will direct these fees, both past and future, towards an automatic buyback and destruction contract. These fees will be released in the form of ETH. Anyone can claim these fees by destroying the corresponding tokens. ETHAdams is also considering making this mechanism available for use by other token deployers.
