According to CoinMeta, Anthropic has upgraded the sidebars of Claude, in, and Chrome to a complete Claude Cowork session. Now, these sessions are directly saved to the user's account, allowing users to work in their browsers and then continue on desktop, web, or mobile devices. In Chrome, Claude can also directly use the skills, plugins, and connectors of Cowork; users can read web pages, click buttons, enter content, and fill out forms. However, when it comes to local files or requiring Claude to actively operate the computer, a connection with Claude Desktop is still necessary. Anthropic expanded Cowork to include web and mobile devices in July, and now it has incorporated the Chrome sidebar into the same cross-device session. The new version of the sidebar is already available to Max and Team users, with Pro to be rolled out in the coming weeks. Enterprise requires activation by an administrator.
