Gold fails to find additional momentum from U.S. inflation data

According to CoinMeta, gold failed to find additional momentum from U.S. inflation data. The U.S. CPI report released yesterday was the main event of the week for the market, but it did not generate the significant surprises that were expected, forcing market participants to readjust to the previous patterns. For gold, the situation between the United States and Iran remains key, but the technical breakout earlier last week at least provided some upward momentum. Currently, the key level is at $4,387; although buyers in the Asian market have been attempting to test this level, it seems insufficient so far. The high point reached earlier today was $4,449, but it has now fallen back to $4,375. While buying activity in the Asian market is still a positive sign, more positive developments are needed to support a rise in gold prices.
